About The Position

This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager of the Lamb Weston Boardman Center facility. This position is responsible for supporting the 24/7 demands of a warehouse by directing and mentoring team members, building relationships, managing inventories, and supporting day-to-day operations of the warehouse.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • 2 years’ leadership experience preferred
  • Experience building, leading, coaching, and mentoring teams
  • Proficient with ASCTrac fundamentals (Inventory, Location, Date Rotation, Schedule).
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent PC skills to include Windows, Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), and timekeeping systems
  • Ability to compute various math functions as it relates to production/inventory (i.e. proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating procedures, other instructions and manuals.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work different shifts
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
  • Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature
  • Exposure to manufacturing environments for up to 12 hours per work day to include: loud noise, excessive heat, excessive cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells and allergies
  • Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Freezer Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Plant Operation
  • Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties.
  • Ability to operate work related equipment.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Valid Driver’s License and driving record that meets Lamb Weston Driving Standards
  • Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basis

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives and team members in developing safety culture towards world class through reporting of incidents and near misses, escalating safety concerns, and ensuring completion of monthly training
  • Actively demonstrate the ability to understand and lead our Lamb Weston Vision, Mission, and Values
  • Manage up to 25 warehouse team members (hire, onboard, train, mentor, and develop)
  • Work, Lead and Resource team members by being available on the floor.
  • Deliver forklift Tracker data, paperwork errors, and safety infractions, with action plans against data to respective team members.
  • Create performance/disciplinary actions to address deficiencies and submit for review to Warehouse Manager.
  • Plan labor for shifts with the utilization of timekeeping system, schedules, and forecasting tools for respective shifts to meet performance goals established by management.
  • Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly facility inspections/audits.
  • Work with maintenance department to ensure building infrastructure and equipment are in good operating condition.
  • Work with inventory department when necessary to ensure thermometer and calibration program complies with company program.
  • Other duties as assigned.
