This is a safety-sensitive position where the Team Leader will be assisting the supervisor by overseeing a group of employees and maintaining inventory of components on a daily basis. The role involves taking charge of the department when the supervisor is away, enforcing safety, quality, and housekeeping principles, setting production runs, and assigning employees to specific job duties. The Team Leader will coordinate work orders, check inventory for necessary materials, feed material to production lines, and ensure equipment is operating properly and safely. Quality control of parts, verification of correct parts on work orders, and accurate timecard completion for agency personnel are also key responsibilities. The position requires conducting safety meetings, filling out accident reports, verifying product quantities, tracking employee attendance, and obtaining necessary purchased parts from stores. Supervisory duties such as split-offs, interviews, and disciplinary actions are included, along with using SAP software for information retrieval and input. The role also involves periodically assisting in orienting and training lower-level employees, assisting the supervisor/manager with performance evaluations, and immediately notifying the supervisor/team leader of any departmental or employee concerns. Following safety regulations, identifying potential hazards, assisting with product storage organization, and maintaining good housekeeping are essential. The Team Leader may use various hand tools, pull and read engineering prints, and perform material handler duties in the warehouse, including the inter-company shipping process. Assisting the supervisor with first aid for injured employees and performing other assigned duties, including overtime, are also part of the role.
