About The Position

Join Litehouse as a Sanitation Team Leader! This role oversees sanitation crews and drives improvements in safety, food quality, compliance, and performance. The position ensures sanitation operations meet the highest standards while fostering a safe, efficient, and collaborative work environment. Litehouse started in the Hope, Idaho restaurant of the Hawkins family 60 years ago. Since that time, we have become the leader in refrigerated salad dressings, dips, sauces, herbs, and cheese, manufacturing these delicious products at our four U.S. facilities based in Michigan, Utah, Virginia, and Idaho. Litehouse offers its diverse portfolio of products through general retail, e-commerce, foodservice, deli, member stores, and value-added goods where Litehouse products are featured in meal and salad kits. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
  • 1-3 years of related experience in sanitation or manufacturing required.
  • Knowledge of root cause problem-solving and compliance with food safety standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative mindset with accountability, attention to detail, and commitment to Litehouse values.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and coach employees to promote safe behavior and correct unsafe conditions quickly.
  • Communicate training plans and provide coaching to crew members to support development.
  • Facilitate communication and consistency between shifts, including leading shift hand-offs.
  • Verify and record sanitation documentation, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
  • Provide coaching and corrective feedback when errors occur.
  • Conduct root cause analyses for sanitation, safety, and quality issues, implementing long-term solutions.
  • Lead and assist in sanitation washes, ensuring processes are performed within designated parameters.
  • Partner with operations teams to improve efficiency in washes and changeovers.
  • Assist with new hire orientation and create a positive training experience.
  • Correct deviations to ensure compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
