The Team Leader, Quality Control Inspector leads and coordinates inspection activities within Applied Medical's Quality Control department, working primarily within a cleanroom environment to ensure product integrity, regulatory compliance, and adherence to quality standards across raw materials, components, and finished medical devices. This role mentors and supports a team of inspectors performing controlled environment inspection work while driving continuous improvement in inspection processes, data collection, and operational efficiency. Professionals with backgrounds in quality control inspection, quality assurance, or manufacturing inspection within cleanroom or controlled environment settings in the medical device industry will find this role a strong match.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates deep understanding of inspection techniques and procedures, including reading engineering drawings and using measurement instruments.
  • Brings experience working within a cleanroom or other controlled manufacturing environment, including gowning and contamination control procedures.
  • Applies expertise with tools and equipment used for medical device inspection and quality control.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, mentorship, and team guidance skills.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and coordinates Quality Control (QC) inspection activities within a cleanroom environment to uphold product integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversees inspection procedures for raw materials, components, and finished products, ensuring accuracy and consistency under cleanroom protocols.
  • Enforces gowning, contamination control, and cleanroom entry and exit procedures to maintain a controlled inspection environment.
  • Provides guidance, training, and direction to team members on inspection techniques, equipment usage, cleanroom behavior, and quality standards.
  • Assists in developing, implementing, and updating inspection procedures to improve workflow efficiency within the cleanroom.
  • Ensures inspection tools and equipment are available, properly maintained, and calibrated for accurate results in a controlled environment.
  • Mentors new team members, conducts performance reviews, and supports professional development.
  • Participates in trend analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to refine QC processes and enhance product quality.
