About The Position

This role involves managing resources to meet production schedules and creatively solving problems that hinder team performance. The Team Leader will ensure adequate staffing, manage issues quickly and effectively, communicate team needs, and promote continuous improvement. They will also elevate issues to management, support associate development and training, facilitate countermeasure implementation, and ensure Gemba walks are performed. The position requires data collection and summarization, participation in RIE events, adherence to standard work, enforcement of the 5S program, compliance with ISO documentation and procedures, and ensuring quality standards are met. The facility will initially operate 5 days/week (Monday - Friday), with a potential shift to 24/7 operations after ramp-up.

Requirements

  • Basic Qualification: High School Diploma or equivalent; and related experience and/or training.
  • Must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Frequently push or pull up to 75 pounds of force.
  • Be able to use stairs.

  • 2+ years production and/or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage resources to meet production schedules and creatively solve problems that hinder the team performance.
  • Ensure adequate staffing to meet customer demand, including administration of attendance policies.
  • Manage issues quickly and effectively and give feedback in a timely and diplomatic manner.
  • Communicate team needs to support functions.
  • Actively promote the benefits of continuous improvement to Associates.
  • Elevate issues/problems to plant management and HR as appropriate or needed.
  • Give appropriate and specific praise/rewards to Associates.
  • Actively support Associate development and make efforts to allow department Associates to participate in training opportunities.
  • Administer and facilitate countermeasure implementation when appropriate.
  • Ensure Gemba walks are performed throughout the shift.
  • Collect data and summarize data (i.e., downtime, schedule attainment, etc.).
  • Participates in RIE events as requested/required.
  • Ensures the use of standard work.
  • Understands, enforces and promotes 5S program.
  • Adheres to ISO documentation and procedures.
  • Ensures quality standards are followed and identifies and eliminates reoccurring quality issues.
  • Enforce and follow all Company policies, rules and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
