Team Leader Housing - 24 Hours provides leadership and oversight of the Sprott House transitional housing program for 2SLGBTQIA+ young people, 16-24 years old ensuring a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for youth. The role balances strategic responsibilities, such as aligning programs with quality standards and organizational priorities, with hands-on operational oversight, including staff guidance and daily program delivery. It fosters team development, collaboration, and accountability while supporting continuous improvement. By combining leadership and day-to-day management, the position directly impacts both staff effectiveness and youth well-being. As part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ transitional housing program team, staff will contribute actively to a culture of human rights, and will at all times demonstrate an unwavering and knowledgeable commitment to creating and maintaining safe space for all gender diversity, and sexual orientations. The program operates 24 hours per day, 365 days a year and requires continuous on-site staffing and support to 25 participants. The Sprott team provides support assisting young people toward increasing independence, self-reliance, and self-determination. The program offers individual and case management support, social/recreational opportunities, and opportunities for peer support through group work. Members of the Sprott team promote increasing independence, and self-realization using anti-oppression, harm reduction, mental health recovery, trauma-informed, and other strengths-based approaches. Recognizing the unique struggles, needs, and strengths of 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and other marginalized populations, staff support participants one on one and in group/social settings.
