About The Position

Overview Scope of Position: Oversee the Family Camp programs in the summer and non-summer, ensuring a high-quality experience for families and staff. Supervise the full-time Family Camp Coordinators throughout the year, conducting regular check-ins and annual performance reviews. Reports to: Senior Manager, Family Camp WinShape Foundation is a Biblically-based Christian non-profit organization that seeks to glorify God by creating transformational, Christ-centered experiences for people in every stage of life. We do this through five core ministries that each use scriptural truth to offer summer camp, foster care, team and leader development, college student discipleship, and marriage enrichment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Requires 5-7 years of relevant work experience to include leading people.
  • Experience in project management and leading teams in project planning and execution.
  • Demonstrates skills in written and verbal communication, time management, training facilitation, and goal setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Willing to relocate to a WinShape Camps for Families location in the summer.
  • Maintain regular office hours at the WinShape Camps office in Rome during the non-camp season and engage in moderate travel throughout the year (10–20%).
  • A self-professing Christ-follower, actively involved in a Christian faith community and actively pursuing Christ on a consistent basis.
  • Must hold or obtain a valid driver’s license for the state in which they are hired and have an acceptable driving record.
  • Must reside within 60 miles of the Rome Retreat, and less than 150 miles from the Atlanta Support Center.
  • Attend WinShape Foundation gatherings and events, including but not limited to the ONE Conference, Fall Rally, town halls, and other meetings as communicated by the leadership team.

Responsibilities

  • Supervisor, lead, hire, train, and supervise Family Camp Coordinators and 45–50 summer staff, ensuring effective onboarding, performance management, and team development.
  • Provide direct support for teams day to day responsibilities and initiatives
  • Serve as the summer location leader, providing guidance, problem-solving, and leadership to the Summer Leadership Team.
  • Collaborate with the Family Camp Senior Manager on annual goal-setting, long-range planning, and oversight of the Family Camp operating budget.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of all Family Camp programs, including both summer and non-summer programs such as Parent-Child and Family Weekends, while delegating responsibilities to Coordinators as appropriate.
  • Manage key parent and staff communications, including manuals, handbooks, guides, and regular summer correspondence.
  • Lead the scholarship and discount authorization process for all Family Camp programs.
  • Direct summer staff training initiatives, including Leadership Weekend and Staff Training, while also overseeing seasonal staff spiritual development through worship and Bible study programming.
  • Provide crisis leadership and risk management in partnership with camp consultants to address camper and staff emergencies, and represent WinShape Camps in recruiting efforts and interview processes to ensure successful staffing outcomes.
