About The Position
Lead the Game. Inspire the Team. Make Summer Unforgettable! Sports Camp Leader YMCA of Collier County, Inc. –Naples campus Do you love sports, teamwork, and working with kids? Join the YMCA of Collier County and help create an action-packed, positive, and safe summer experience for campers in grades K–8! The Sports Camp Leader plays a key role in delivering high-quality youth programming that promotes skill development, sportsmanship, and healthy living. Working under the guidance of the Site Supervisor, this position provides direct supervision of children, leads engaging sports activities, and helps maintain a fun and structured camp environment.
Requirements
- Experience working with school-age children
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage groups in an active, outdoor setting
- Energetic, responsible, and team-oriented
Nice To Haves
- Background in sports, recreation, or youth programming preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision and ensure the safety of campers (K–8th grade)
- Lead and implement organized sports activities and daily camp programming
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development
- Maintain program areas, equipment, and supplies
- Follow YMCA policies and procedures at all times
- Build positive, professional relationships with campers
- Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating YMCA core values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility
