Under the supervision of the Group Sales or Department Manager, the Team Leader gives daily direction to the associates in one of the departments within the store, to include: merchandise presentation, inventory control, pricing, sales enhancements, stocking, and customer service activities. This role supports the GSM/DM in achieving departmental goals and ensures a positive shopping experience for customers. The Team Leader also assists with staffing, training, scheduling, and resolving customer and associate issues. They are expected to be a product expert, conduct product demonstrations, and assist with special events, pricing, assortments, inventory accuracy, and display maintenance. The Team Leader also carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, training, and performance management. They provide a legendary customer experience by identifying customer needs, making recommendations, and promoting company programs.
