About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Team Lead - 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $29.60 + $2.50 shift premium per hour. The hours for this shift are 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• No relocation offered; candidate must reside within 50 miles of the South Milwaukee, WI site.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and MS Office products.
• Proficiency in SAP ECC/MRP planning and/or purchasing modules.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 1 years’ experience working with Engineering to Order (ETO).
• Lean Six Sigma tool knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform, lead and coordinate production work on the shop floor for their designated department.
• Allocate employees to designated work centers.
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks.
• Model behavior of a Front-Line Leader at Eaton.
• Assist department supervisor in maintaining workflow, assigning work, and instructing other employees.
• Assure all employees working in the area are fully trained for the task(s) assigned, including Safety, PPE, Production and Process awareness. Coordinate with the Dept Supervisor to provide necessary training where deficiencies are discovered.
• Effectively communicate and implement department objectives, priorities, and standards to hourly workforce.
• Conduct Start of shift Meeting(s) at the start of every shift, emphasizing any special concerns regarding Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost or Takt Time performance.
• Field questions from the hourly workforce and redirect resources as required to meet changing needs or conditions.
• Coordinate area work activities with the supervisor and keep them informed in all matters.
• Keep the supervisor fully informed of any issue(s) that poses a risk to successful performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, or meeting production performance.
• Be knowledgeable in the set-up, adjustment, and operation of all departmental equipment, including filling in for operators when needed.
• Check material availability and expedite shortages with production control, as well as other functions related to the MRP system.
• Identify training needs within the department and address needs through coaching and onboarding employees.
• Operate forklift as needed.
