About The Position

The senior team lead will manage, coordinate, and monitor the activities of the entire warehouse across all shifts. This role involves providing on-the-job training, interacting with the Customer at all levels of management, and ensuring the completion of work and customer requirements while adhering to all company quality and safety processes. The position may also provide input to the Customer Support Manager regarding performance. This is a safety-sensitive position that works directly on the warehouse floor, potentially on or around heavy machinery.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and multi-tasking ability
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Previous experience in customer service and supervisory capacity
  • Ability to work days, afternoons, nights, overtime, and weekends
  • Own transportation
  • Ability to manage a team of people (5-15 per shift)
  • Experience as a team lead or supervisor
  • Read, write, speak English
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer literate, able to utilize MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and email software
  • Safety Mindset
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing (may include marijuana testing)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in automotive setting is an asset – we are willing to train for the right person!
  • Preferred quality knowledge within an automotive environment
  • Understanding of measurement units and tolerancing; ability to train others in this area

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the inspection process and be responsible for laborers, Team Leads, and the inspection of customer products for assigned tables.
  • Lead by example, be organized, and practice good housekeeping skills in all areas of the facility.
  • Ensure all employees work safely and in accordance with company health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Report any accidents or incidents immediately to a supervisor.
  • Coordinate shift start activities, including table requirements and paperwork.
  • Ensure appropriate tools and materials are available for job completion.
  • Provide on-the-job training for new work instructions.
  • Be accountable for all personnel assigned to specific jobs.
  • Provide input to the Customer Service Manager regarding performance.
  • Report any policy or procedure violations to the Customer Support Manager.
  • Participate, support, and comply with all health and safety initiatives and requirements.
  • Interact with the Customer frequently to ensure complete Customer Satisfaction.
  • Ensure proper and accurate documentation and paperwork are submitted daily.
  • Ensure appropriate Off-Site tool kits (Laptop/Printer/Tools), certification stickers, required PPE, and materials are available for job completion.
  • Comply with all Customer Off-Site regulations and work rules.
  • Maintain Customer Site badge access where required.
  • Quote new Hourly Inspection jobs as they arise for Off-Site locations.
  • Perform employee evaluations on a regular basis.
  • Provide orientation for the Off-Site location and continuous training as required.
