About The Position

The Team Lead role supporting Affera Sphere-9 catheter manufacturing operations at the Billerica site is a hands-on production leadership position focused on daily execution, problem-solving, and operational excellence. This role serves as the go-to expert on line operations, supporting second shift manufacturing activities by coordinating work, maintaining flow, and ensuring production goals are met while adhering to Medtronic’s quality and compliance standards. The Team Lead is a trusted technical resource and coach for operators on the floor. The role provides first-level support for production issues, mentors operators on assembly techniques, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives. By combining technical expertise with strong floor presence, the Team Lead plays a critical role in enabling safe, efficient, and high-quality catheter manufacturing. Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant manufacturing or operations experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily first shift production activities for Affera Sphere-9 catheter manufacturing, including work execution, packaging tasks, and LHR review.
  • Prioritize and coordinate operator assignments in alignment with the build schedule to meet production targets.
  • Serve as the first point of support for production issues, providing hands-on troubleshooting and escalating concerns with clear status updates to the supervisor.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for line operations, supporting operators with technical guidance and real-time problem-solving.
  • Coach and mentor operators on assembly techniques, quality expectations, and continuous improvement practices without direct people management responsibility.
  • Assist with machinery setup, breakdown, and basic troubleshooting to maintain production flow.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Medtronic quality, safety, and compliance requirements within a regulated catheter manufacturing environment.
  • Support inventory management activities and complete accurate system transactions within ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, consistency, and team effectiveness.
