About The Position

Assemble and pack various productions including operation of equipment in accordance with customer needs. Perform operations required to assemble and pack various products including operation of equipment in accordance with customer orders. Organize and plan material supply and flow. Interpret a wide variety of customer specified configurations to assemble a more complex product. Adheres to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and may require frequent standing or bending.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to read and follow standard work.
  • Ability to use measuring tape, hand and power tools, and saw.
  • Ability to use square, fixed gages, and work from simple drawings.
  • Ability to use good judgment and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively across all levels.
  • Ability to read and understand formal, informal drawings, and/or engineering drawings.
  • Complex assembly and configuration skills.
  • Knowledge of basic shop math.
  • Basic knowledge of windows based operating systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in assembling.
  • Vocational certificate preferred.
  • Manufacturing systems knowledge (KANBAN, JIT, Production scheduling).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S.
  • Assist team in achieving plant and department goals.
  • Assist with on-the-job training and continuous improvement.
  • Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork.
  • Checks completed parts to ensure compliance to Worcester Plant Quality standards and makes necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goals.
  • General knowledge of Eaton Quality Management System (EQMS).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including but not limited to area rotations and/or attend training courses.
