Requirements

  • Prior managerial/supervisory experience
  • Special project/Maintenance background - fixing banners, pressure washers, and operating other machines
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to drive and operate a vehicle
  • Ability to work outdoors in ALL weather conditions
  • Must have the physical capacity to traverse continuously during an eight hour shift, with normal breaks (two fifteen minutes, and one thirty minute meal break).
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions with provided inclement weather gear.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more when needed.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in order to create basic reports.
  • Basic knowledge of smart phone technology
  • Proficient in computer usage and in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage shift duties of clean and safe ambassadors, ensuring compliance with Block by Block standards, best practices, procedures, and policies.
  • Hold the team responsible for completing projects and remaining productive.
  • Communicate and lead daily shift briefings, assigning duties and zones, and reviewing events, weather, and safety updates.
  • Provide excellent customer service in the BID and towards the team of Ambassadors.
  • Provide guidance and direction for on-street and in-field operations.
  • Provide written reports of broken infrastructure, graffiti on private property, and a basic daily report of accomplishments and tasks completed.
  • Provide direction and counsel to team members and report concerns to the Operations Manager.
  • Maintain a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and Block by Block standards.
  • Traverse continuously during an eight-hour shift with normal breaks.
  • Work outdoors in all conditions with provided inclement weather gear.
  • Speak, read, and write the English language to create basic reports.
  • Be proficient in computer usage and Microsoft Office products.
