About The Position

The Team Lead position is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supporting daily production operations while providing guidance, training, and direction to team members. This role serves as a key communication link between employees and management, helping ensure safety, quality, productivity, and operational goals are achieved. The Team Lead leads by example, promotes a positive work environment, and helps drive continuous improvement throughout the facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous manufacturing, production, or food manufacturing experience preferred
  • Prior leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support production employees to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Monitor daily production activities to ensure schedules, quality standards, and productivity goals are met.
  • Train and onboard new employees while reinforcing standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Promote and enforce all food safety, quality, GMP, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Communicate production priorities, operational updates, and company initiatives to team members.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment, process, and production issues to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide feedback, guidance, and support for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, maintenance, quality, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support staffing needs, break coverage, and workflow adjustments throughout the shift.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Report operational concerns, safety incidents, and performance issues to management.
  • Assist supervisors and managers with special projects and departmental initiatives.
  • Participate in safety meetings, audits, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Support inventory accuracy, material handling, and product accountability as needed.
  • Help foster a positive team culture focused on accountability, communication, and engagement.
