About The Position

Production Team Leads are assigned to various product lines as indicated by manufacturing needs. For operational flexibility, the ability to become cross-trained and to rotate jobs is essential. They are responsible for ensuring that the units are assembled properly, free of quality deficiencies, and are operating in a manner that is expected by our customer. They are also responsible for accurately reporting production, scrap/rework and quality issues.

Requirements

  • Must have a good attendance record
  • Exhibited a good work record and not have above a verbal warning (3.5 points)
  • Ability to safely and effectively operate various pieces of equipment
  • Ability to learn new operations, become cross-trained, and rotate jobs
  • Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions, read and follow prints/routers, and the ability to understand quality requirement while monitoring production
  • Good judgement and positive leadership skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead an assembly department to maintain productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction at an acceptable level with minimal supervisory assistance.
  • Training (safety, quality, productivity)
  • Production reporting.
  • Scheduling
  • Inspections (quality, safety, 5s)
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Wear proper PPE
  • Attend and constructively participate in safety meetings and safety training
  • Actively promote safety
  • Report injuries to supervisor immediately
  • Cooperate with fellow employees and supervisor
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with other work groups, both within and outside of his/her department
  • Help other coworkers learn their job
  • Participate in problem solving as directed
  • Recommend ideas for continual improvement.
  • Keep area clean and free from excess clutter to ensure a smooth operation and desirable work conditions
  • Understanding and demonstrated performance in managing component parts associated with the job. This includes accounting for use, scrap, rework of material as well as identification, proper storage and care.
