About The Position

The Team Lead (Production) is responsible for demonstrating SoundOff Signal’s Core Values in daily interactions. This role involves team building, personnel management, planning, organizing, communication, leadership, problem-solving, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The Team Lead will coach and lead employees by example, handle urgent situations, troubleshoot equipment, and balance hands-on involvement with support functions to maximize department throughput. They will also be responsible for disciplinary activities, keeping the team focused, measuring employee performance, and ensuring products meet quality standards and safety procedures are followed. The role requires adherence to SoundOff Signal’s 5S standards and consistent attendance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Competent in all processes within the department.
  • Willing and able to train others in all department processes.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years electronics experience.
  • One (1) year supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work minimum 8 hour shifts, and flex hours early or late with little or no notice.
  • Ability to perform job consistently and without excessive absenteeism or tardiness.

  • Problem Sensitivity and Solving. Being able to tell when something is wrong, or about to go wrong, then use critical thinking and deductive reasoning to identify problems, gather and analyze data, construct, evaluate, and implement solutions.
  • Able to report department progress, completion, non-completion of work and the reasons for each.
  • Able to measure the performance of employees to understand where their need is to grow, learn and comply with SoundOff Signal Standards.
  • Ensures the products manufactured meet our SoundOff Signal quality standards.
  • Able to check finished product as needed to ensure quality standards are being met and keep records of equipment, deliveries and worker performance.
  • Assuring quality control procedures (ISO, ESD) are being followed.
  • Place the safety of team members in high esteem, educate them in SoundOff Signal safety procedures and ensure procedures are adhered to.
  • Assuring team members are aware of all needed PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and are following all PPE requirements.
  • Able to evaluate manufacturing equipment for safety and functionality.
  • Ability to hold the department and team members to our SoundOff Signal 5S standards.
