Requirements

CPA designation.
Minimum two years’ experience in tax within a public practice environment.
Strong communication and analytical skills.
Experience with corporate and personal tax compliance, tax research, and an interest in tax planning and advisory.
Eagerness to learn, seek feedback, and take on new challenges.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
Enthusiasm for tax, public accounting, and team leadership.

Nice To Haves

Enrolled in the CPA In‑Depth Tax Course (Parts I, II, and III), with progress towards completion considered an asset.
Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.

Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor staff accountants on tax compliance and advisory engagements.
Act as the main point of contact between clients and your team.
Take ownership of complex tax returns and research projects with growing independence.
Develop tax engagement plans and budgets and monitor progress to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Motivate and support your team’s career development.
Identify tax planning opportunities and assist in delivering value-added advice to clients.
Participate in internal committees and help implement firm initiatives.
Lead pre-engagement planning and deliver presentations or training in your area of tax expertise.
