About The Position

As a Team Lead, Talent & Organizational Development, you will lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of leadership development programs and experiences that strengthen leadership capability across Irving Oil. Your goal will be to build practical, impactful leadership development solutions that align with business priorities, support future talent needs, and enhance leadership effectiveness across the organization. Your success will be defined by your ability to develop and coach a high-performing team, foster strong partnerships with business and HR leaders, and deliver leadership development programs that create measurable impact and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in leadership development, talent development, adult learning principles, and instructional design methodologies
  • Excellent consulting, relationship management, and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility and partner effectively with leaders at all levels
  • Strong facilitation skills with experience delivering engaging leadership workshops, programs, and development experiences
  • Proven project and program management capabilities, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Analytical mindset with experience using learning metrics, participant feedback, and business insights to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical execution while identifying innovative approaches that enhance leadership capability
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Education, Psychology, or a related discipline
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in leadership development, talent development, organizational development, learning, or a related field
  • Experience partnering with business leaders and HR teams to develop and implement enterprise-wide leadership development strategies and programs

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team responsible for enterprise leadership development programs and initiatives
  • Develop and execute the enterprise leadership development roadmap aligned with business priorities and future capability needs
  • Partner with business leaders, HR Business Partners, and Talent teams to identify leadership capability needs and recommend practical development solutions
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve leadership development experiences for leaders at all levels of the organization
  • Manage the full lifecycle of leadership development initiatives, including needs assessment, design, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement
  • Facilitate leadership programs, workshops, and development experiences while supporting facilitator capability across the organization
  • Establish success measures and evaluate program effectiveness using participant feedback, business outcomes, and learning metrics
  • Ensure leadership development programs align with enterprise talent processes, including performance management, succession planning, career development, and other talent initiatives
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture focused on continuous learning, innovation, and exceptional client service
