Requirements

May hold or be working towards a P.Eng., C.E.T., or AScT designation.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Diploma in Engineering Technology.
Minimum of 8+ years experience under the supervision of a Senior Engineer.
Valid class 5 driver’s license.
Excellent interpersonal skills; a person who listens well, respects diversity of opinions and has an open, clear and succinct communication style.
Strong design and project management skills.
Ability to recognize and accurately define problems and solutions by collecting data and establishing facts to draw valid conclusions.
Effective organizational and time management skills in handling multiple priorities, performing a variety of tasks, and meeting required deadlines.
Ability to represent the company to WE teammates, clients and community by ensuring the best image is presented.
Application knowledge of WE systems and programs (including MS Office 365, SharePoint, Deltek Vision, and discipline specific drafting/design software, etc.).

Responsibilities

Coordinate Service Line teammates and maintain the technical capability and production requirements of the discipline.
Manage workload and ensure engineering quality.
Develop and maintain client relationships and operational management.
Forecast workload for staffing targets and coordinate workload among teammates.
Motivate, train, mentor, and discipline direct reports.
Provide technical oversight on single and multi-discipline projects, as well as technical expertise and design.
Develop teammate career paths and provide performance appraisals.
Share expertise with other offices, maintain technical capability, and provide technical expertise on projects.
Assist with proposal preparation.
Increase the overall technical capability and efficiency of the service line.
Act as senior client contact for key clients.
Stamp own project design and reports and those of engineers in training for whom peer review is provided.
Adhere to company policies, guidelines, and safety policies and practices.
Stay current with changes in own discipline.
Establish basic operating standards and accomplish objectives in the most economical manner.
Attract new business and collaborate to secure large multi-company projects.
Work as Project Manager, Relationship Manager, or Technical Specialist to deliver projects in a timely manner.
Identify completed projects eligible for technical awards and ensure submission.
Exercise independent judgment and decision-making to establish work methods and procedures.
Analyze existing data to forecast business choices regarding budget forecasting, budget variances, client profitability, and risk management.
Participate in resolving issues with cost control, non-recoverable expenditures, and utilization.
Communicate effectively with teammates.
Perpetuate, clarify, and embody WE Purpose and Core Values.
Apply for a Federal security clearance if required for institutional projects.
Obtain Leadership in Safety Excellence certificate.
