About The Position

Catalent’s Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses. The site provides a range of integrated services for oral solid dosage forms, from formulation development and analytical testing to clinical and commercial-scale manufacture. The Kansas City facility is a Center-of-Excellence for our Biologics Analytical Services business. Our talented team has over 25 years of experience providing analytical services for stand-alone and integrated biologics projects. The Kansas City Clinical and Specialty Services Storage and Receiving Team Lead supports clinical trial projects through accurately receiving, staging, and storing materials; providing warehouse support to the Packaging, Manufacturing, PreDistribution and Quality Assurance groups, and ensuring that all work carried out is in compliance with regulatory requirements, good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Although the main focus is in Storage and Receiving, this position will also support other areas of operation as needed and as requested to support the needs of the business. The Team Lead works closely with the Supervisor to ensure that all team tasks are completed promptly and that project deadlines are consistently met.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft outlook, Word, Excel, and general internet navigation
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively via email and Microsoft Teams
  • Must meet 20/30 corrected vision standards
  • Will handle controlled substances; therefore, a background check and DEA screening are required
  • Required to operate a manual pallet jack
  • Prior Powered Industrial Truck lift certification

Nice To Haves

  • Degree(s) beyond High School highly preferred
  • 3+ years of prior warehouse, dock, or GMP manufacturing experience preferred
  • 1 year of leadership experience preferred
  • Previous certification for PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks) equipment usage

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety and manual handling guidelines
  • Accepting deliveries applicable to Receiving Dock 10
  • Unpacking and palletizing shipments onto appropriate pallets
  • Completes material moves in the inventory management system
  • Inspect trucks and deliveries for damage
  • Housekeeping - Sweeping and dusting workstations, storage facility, and dock area
  • Identify, turn off, and download temperature monitoring devices
  • Able to identify correct storage conditions for incoming materials
  • Receive packaging materials and drug product into JDE inventory system
  • Have an advanced understanding of how to use the inventory system and supporting systems
  • Be able to separate, verify, and receive uniquely coded deliveries
  • Other duties assigned
