Team Lead Shipping
About The Position
This is a full-time, temporary-to-hire position for a Team Lead in the Shipping department. The role involves overseeing warehouse workers and line drivers, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks, analyzing reports, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a warehouse environment, including cold storage facilities. The Team Lead will also be responsible for training employees, ensuring correct system transactions, and maintaining a safe work environment. Supporting food safety, quality, and legality is also a key aspect of the role.

Responsibilities
- Give job assignments to warehouse workers and line drivers and insure timely and accurate completion.
- Analyze department reports to insure proper action is taken with regard to shipments and materials received.
- Communicate discrepancies with shipments or materials received and problems delaying scheduled shipments with Warehouse Supervisor, Logistics Management, and Customer Service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse.
- Adhere to Shipping and Receiving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs.)
- Analyze and complete reports include: Fifo, consolidations, cycle counts and other related reports.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory.
- Provide back-up support for all shipping and receiving functions.
- Train Shipping and Receiving employees.
- Learn and understand the PPS system.
- Ensure all transactions are done correctly in the system.
- Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person.
- Report any injury or accident immediately to supervisory and/or any unsafe condition.
- Supports food safety, quality and legality.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
