About The Position

Metergy's office is currently in Markham but will be relocating to North York by the end of 2026.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related fields.
  • Two (2) – Five (5) years' experience in settlements or financial operations, ideally with exposure to utilities, energy markets, or other regulated industries.
  • Prior leadership, coaching, or mentorship experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of settlement workflows and controls.
  • Good communication, analytical, and organizational skills; high attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with data analytics/visualization (e.g., VBA, Power BI, Power Query); comfort working with large datasets and improving data quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support settlement analysts, and assign daily tasks and ensure deadlines and service levels are met.
  • Oversee settlement processing, reconciliations, and exception handling, review and approve settlement transactions, and keep procedures and documentation up to date.
  • Identify and address operational risks, resolve discrepancies and settlement issue, support audits, reviews, and control testing.
  • Work closely with Billing, Finance, Revenue Assurance, Sales and Customer Success to support smooth operations.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate settlement workflows, reconciliations, and reporting while contributing to process standardization and knowledge continuity.
