About The Position
This role involves leading the nursing team in the Endoscopy unit, ensuring efficient patient flow, effective training, and proper resource management. The Team Lead RN will perform all duties of a registered nurse while also overseeing daily tasks, coordinating with providers and management, and ensuring timely billing and supply management. This position requires strong leadership and clinical skills within the endoscopy setting.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Indiana by date of hire or transfer to the position
- Basic Life Safety (American Heart Association)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (American Heart Association)
- Associate degree as a Registered Nurse from an accredited school of nursing
- Registered Nurse with 2 years of endoscopy experience in the last five years.

Responsibilities
- Performs all the principal duties and responsibilities of the registered nurse as required.
- Ensures the nursing team is trained effectively in all technical responsibilities.
- Directs patient flow and assists staff to maintain patient flow.
- Assigns the RN daily tasks including in room assignment, pre-calls, orders entry, billing of procedures, and non-licensed staff and other daily tasks as indicated.
- Keeps providers informed of changes in assignments or patient flow that will affect working conditions.
- Ensures unit is stocked with necessary supplies and materials, coordinates with Nurse Manager and Materials Management regarding stocking and ordering.
- Monitors rooms needed by provider, coordinates room usage for providers during unit hours.
- Delegates assignments to RNs as needed to smooth workload and promote efficient patient flow.
- Assists nurse manager as needed for running unit smoothly.
- Delegates workload during downtime, ensures that RNs are always engaged and productive.
- Fill in as a clinical nurse as need arises.
- Assists Nurse Manager and/or Director of Clinical Services with other tasks to improve clinical practice as assigned.
- Ensure that billing is completed on the unit in a timely manner.
