About The Position

Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM) is seeking an experienced Team Leader for their state-of-the-art fire testing laboratory. This role will lead innovation in fire safety, product development, and code compliance. The Team Leader will oversee all aspects of the fire testing operations, including laboratory management, fire test equipment, testing protocols, safety, data analysis, and continuous improvement. This position involves leading a team of technical professionals and collaborating with R&D scientists, engineers, regulatory teams, and business leaders to support new product development and maintain industry standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fire testing, combustion science, or fire protection engineering, with hands-on expertise in operating, designing, calibrating, and troubleshooting fire test equipment. Responsibilities include evaluating and implementing new testing capabilities, overseeing capital equipment projects, interpreting complex test data, and representing Carlisle in ASTM committees and industry code development organizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Fire Science, Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in fire testing, combustion science, fire protection engineering, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing laboratory operations and technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of ASTM, UL, FM, and NFPA fire test methods, building codes, and combustion behavior of polymeric materials.
• Experience supporting new product development and regulatory approvals.
