About The Position

The Team Lead, Product Services Cell Therapy is responsible for providing on-the-floor supervision and participating in materials management activities across the Cell Therapy Facility, specifically focusing on patient and healthy donor apheresis receipts, finished drug product storage and packaging, and finished drug product shipment. The Team Lead is a highly skilled operator who executes Supply Chain operational tasks and may act as a floor supervisor in the absence of the Manager.

Requirements

  • Experience working with production and ERP systems (SAP, MES, etc.).
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of cGMP/Pharmaceutical regulations and ALCOA+ principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate problem statements clearly and escalate concerns.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and support less experienced team members.
  • Able to work independently and maintain floor presence for extended periods

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Liquid Nitrogen handling preferred.
  • Associate or bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline preferred; equivalent combination of education, experience, and training may substitute.
  • Certification in CPIM, CSCP, and/or CLTD preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Work safely; wear proper PPE and follow all governing SOPs with specific attention to ALCOA+ compliance.
  • Report all safety issues or concerns urgently to the Manager; open an incident report if needed.
  • Focus on Right First Time (RFT) execution — avoid distractions and escalate issues promptly.
  • Immediately escalate any compliance or integrity issues including ALCOA+ violations, SOP deviations, or atypical observations to Management.
  • Maintain training on time; escalate any training concerns to the Manager.
  • Adhere to the BMS Attendance Policy; arrive on time and ready to work.
  • Be within the CTF and be available by the start of shift to receive and assign work.
  • Spend the shift executing Supply Chain operation tasks on the floor (85–90% of the day).
  • Time off the floor is limited to scheduled breaks, training, and scheduled meetings.
  • Partner with Cell Therapy Manufacturing & Quality to support readiness for prompt receipt, inspection, and start of processing for patient material.
  • Coordinate, pack, and ship materials to domestic and international markets, including hazardous materials.
  • Adhere to good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Lead in maintaining material inventory accuracy using required systems and equipment.
  • Support process deviations & CAPAs
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned in support of business needs.
  • Utilize Tier 1 meetings to raise issues, take actions, and follow up on resolutions.
  • Cascade information across shifts, including deviations, safety events, process updates, and Site & Dept. initiatives.
  • Communicate process status between departments in a timely manner.
  • Escalate issues to Management promptly.
  • Assist in reviewing area documents such as batch records, logbooks, and worksheets.
  • Review work throughout the process and at completion to ensure it has been performed properly; recognize deviations from accepted practice.
  • Confirm SAP transactions for inventoried materials and their movements; troubleshoot inventory/transaction errors.
  • Serve as the floor point of contact in the Manager's absence — escalate issues to Management as needed.
  • Coach team on safe & compliance behaviors, productivity, and reinforcing a speak-up culture on the floor.
  • Facility Tier 1 meetings as needed; follow up on actions and cascade resolutions and key information across shifts.
  • Perform daily scheduling and delegation of job assignments for daily operations in absence of or with support from the Manager.
