About The Position

Responsible for coordinating daily operations of mental health services, including staff schedules, assignments, workflow, and issue resolution. Serves as a key resource for department operations, supporting system initiatives and process improvements. Ensures alignment with the organization’s mission, values, and patient care services. Provides mental health, substance use, and case management services in person and via telehealth. Conducts emergency psychiatric and substance use assessments, diagnoses using DSM-5/ICD10 codes, and provides crisis interventions, supportive counseling, and social work interventions. Assists with diagnostic clarification, treatment planning, risk mitigation, and prevention strategies. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, determines, and communicates disposition and level of care, and facilitates voluntary and involuntary commitments, including case tracking and hospital representation at hearings. Maintains expertise in behavioral health, medical, and legal issues impacting hospital patients. Completes biopsychosocial assessments, develops treatment plans with patient-specific goals, facilitates group therapy, and creates safety plans. Provides clinical supervision to master's-level students, interns and department trainees as needed. Ensures proper documentation and charge capture for financial stability. Must be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently and adapt to changing demands. Strong problem-solving, communication and leadership skills required. Able to handle complex cases, resolve conflicts and support team development in a face-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Certified Commitment Examiner Required
  • Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker OR Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Required
  • Certified Notary Required
  • Master's Degree Counseling OR Psychology OR Marriage and Family Therapy OR Social Work Required
  • 6 Years Clinical - Mental Health OR Clinical - Substance Abuse/Addiction Required
