About The Position

This role requires a Team Lead who can exhibit personal performance and attendance at the highest level, demonstrating leadership in timeliness and technical performance. The Team Lead will be a working example to all team members, possessing excellent customer service skills. They will align the team by balancing manpower to meet materials management requirements, initiate actions for goal achievement, and coordinate with the Materials Supervisor. The Team Lead will ensure team members are assigned tasks that allow them to succeed and will be immediately available to employees to answer technical inventory questions, address production concerns, and handle other technical work functions. This position requires the ability to meet all requirements of an Inventory position, support the transition of new employees, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity are met in the area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, based on education and work experience.
  • Forklift Certification
  • Crane Certification
  • 6 months to 1-year related experience in Inventory/Materials Control or manufacturing.
  • Experience with equipment, application skills, troubleshooting, and training.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to learn other software/technology.
  • Proficient computer knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability as a leader – know when to follow and lead while keeping a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as function in a team environment.
  • Positive Attitude: Not causing disruption in the team and bring the team together.
  • Problem Solver: Must be able to find an answer to various issues.
  • Willing to Learn: Must learn core basics on how to act and continue to learn the best process.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Inventory experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit personal performance and attendance at the highest level.
  • Exhibit leadership in timeliness and technical performance, serving as a role model.
  • Align the team by balancing proper manpower to meet materials management requirements.
  • Initiate actions necessary for goal achievement and coordinate with the Materials Supervisor.
  • Assign tasks to team members that best allow them to succeed.
  • Be immediately available to employees to answer technical inventory questions, address production concerns, and handle other technical work functions.
  • Meet all requirements of an Inventory position.
  • Support transitioning new employees to the area of responsibility, ensuring they understand tasks, have proper tools, and access to job knowledge.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and productivity are met in the area of responsibility.
  • Perform all technical job responsibilities in a timely manner, including OPM’s, Data Entry of Pick Lists, and the Receiving process.
  • Assist the Materials Supervisor in providing technical performance information on area employees.
  • Work with the Materials Supervisor to conduct Good to Go walks and sustain an acceptable level of 5S.
  • Initiate actions, such as maintenance requests, without direct intervention from the Materials Supervisor.
  • Operate all essential tools, including Forklift and Overhead Crane.
  • Assure pick lists are processed in a timely manner according to production needs and established practices.
  • Perform the requirements of an Inventory job classification, acting as a backup.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Perform all assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, timely, accurate, and highly productive manner according to company policy.
  • Contribute to the team effort to produce a quality product.
  • Attend scheduled work hours on a regular and timely basis.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Work and communicate in a team environment.
  • Work mandatory overtime.
