Team Lead, Fulfillment
About The Position
We are on the lookout for a Fulfillment Team Lead in Carlstadt, NJ who shares our passion for being Customer Obsessed. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in being responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and effective receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods. This role involves leading a team of warehouse associates, coordinating activities, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a background in logistics or warehouse management, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Hourly Range: $24-$27 per hour
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred
- Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead position
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Proficient in warehouse management software and the Google Suite
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Required to bring and wear your own steal toed safety shoes
Responsibilities
- Receiving and storing inventory delivered to the warehouse
- Staging and sorting of items, palletizing, and crating
- Provide regular reports on warehouse performance and key metrics (SLAs) to the operations leadership
- Move, pick, pack, and scan items in a safe manner
- Use of tools including but not limited to scanners, carts, hand trucks and dollies
- Daily submission and completion of all required documentation in an accurate fashion
- Follow all 5S processes consistently and effectively
- Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
- Train new employees on company standards and procedures
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of warehouse associates
- Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and feedback
- Ensure accurate inventory management, including stock counts and reconciliations
- Implement and maintain warehouse processes and procedures to maximize efficiency
- Enforce safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Address and resolve any issues related to damaged or missing goods
- Liaise with other departments, such as procurement, account management, and customer service, to coordinate activities and resolve issues
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external partners
