About The Position

Our Team Lead- Fabrication is responsible for supporting all fabrication processes as well as assisting with product improvements and process developments in the Fabrication Department. The incumbent is expected to remain updated on operation and basic troubleshooting technology of all fabrication processes and machine tools.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 3 years of experience in fabrication manufacturing environment
  • Must pass any drug screens, background checks, and any pre-employment tests, which will be conducted in accordance with applicable law.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as required
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule, including Friday - Sunday 6am -6pm
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs, frequently and/or move up to 35lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to perform continuous, repetitious physical activities.
  • These activities may involve fine movements or large motions.
  • Must be able to grasp/pinch small items, reach out and up, and turn wrist.
  • Must be capable of keeping pace with current production speed.
  • Must be able to push/pull with reasonable force.
  • Must be able to perform the following requirements of bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in multiple climates including hot/cold temperatures, and dusty environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or Diploma in Welding Technology
  • 1 – 3 years in a leadership role
  • Five years of experience in fabrication in a related industry
  • Knowledge of automated fabrication processes
  • Effective customer service and communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrates leadership competencies and skills
  • Self-motivated and self-directed

  • Ability to operate the following equipment: CO2 Lasers, CNC Bending Presses, Welding Robots and CNC Machining Centers, Manual and Semi-Auto Welding Processes (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team in a production environment
  • Ensure all operator preventative maintenance procedures are completed as scheduled and maintain Preventative Maintenance logs
  • Execute specified preventative maintenance procedures
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and consumables on all processes and machine tools
  • Facilitate and monitor training programs
  • Able to create and maintain downtime logs, error logs, etc.
  • Continually strive to improve process quality and efficiency
  • Participate in problem solving and cost reduction projects as assigned
  • Must post quality, cost, delivery and safety metrics
  • Ability to sustain Assembly Department
  • Ability to backfill for direct production duties as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
