The Team Lead is responsible for the day-to-day clinical operations, patient flow, and program growth initiatives that support Central Intake for both the Orthopedic and Ophthalmology Hubs. This role acts as the point of contact for referral management, coordinating referral flow, and liaising with the Central Intake Program, referral sources, and external partner organizations. The Team Lead supports clerical staff in referral prioritization and triage activities to ensure appropriate referral routing and efficient operational workflows. They collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure appropriate referral routing and efficient operational workflows. The role promotes quality improvement and evidence-based practice across the program, supporting staff in delivering high-quality patient care. The Team Lead leads program growth and development initiatives in partnership with Central Intake team members, ensuring alignment with provincial central intake models and strategic objectives. They foster a collaborative inclusive team environment that encourages clinical inquiry, innovation, and constructive problem-solving. The Team Lead acts as the first point of contact for patient, referral source, and stakeholder concerns, as well as incident investigations, ensuring concerns are addressed promptly and appropriately. They provide the clinical lens to support program growth and operational planning. Additionally, they provide coaching, education, mentoring, and support to ensure Central Intake team members align with standards, program goals, and organizational expectations.
