About The Position

TAT Technologies is a growing provider of aerospace thermal management, power and actuation products, and repair services with over 60 years of experience. They serve leading aerospace companies in commercial, defense, OEM, and MRO markets. The Tulsa site is a center of excellence for heat transfer manufacturing and MRO services, supporting global aircraft customers. They are seeking an experienced Team Lead - Bench Mechanic to support MRO operations, oversee daily activities, and guide a team of Bench Mechanics. This is a working leader position with opportunities for growth.

Requirements

High School education or equivalent.
5 or more years of mechanical experience, aerospace manufacturing preferred.
5 or more years of prior leadership experience preferred.
Must be able to work 1st shift hours (typically 6:30 am to 3 pm) with overtime and weekends as business needs demand.
Must be able to accomplish any and all duties with little or no assistance following new employee training.
Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.
Must have good communication skills.
Must be able to multi-task and be detail-oriented.
Must be able to display good judgment regarding quality & safety.
Must be willing and able to learn and apply new skills.
Working knowledge and ability to do industrial math calculations and work to tight tolerances.
Must be able to perform physical requirements: ability to stand for 8 hours or more and lift up to 50 pounds.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must have the ability to pass pre-hire and ongoing, random drug testing as required as a Department of Transportation (DOT) facility regulated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Must have the ability to pass pre-hire background check screening going back 7 years.

Responsibilities

Support MRO Operations, specifically Tubes/SS Fin/Military.
Perform on-site maintenance, inspections, and repairs while directing the team on assignments.
Assist in retaining and maintaining all on-site records in both hard copy and electronic form.
Continuously update and utilize an electronic, online maintenance tracking mechanism for efficient maintenance planning and time limit item tracking.
Adhere to company policies, including all safety compliances.
Manage material readiness, inventory, and accountability of all maintenance-related materials, specifically aviation parts and tooling.
Read and understand Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, and Structural Repair Manuals.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet production demands.
