Team Lead Assembler
About The Position
Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking to fill Level C, Team Lead Assemblers for Mid Body Operations, Cell 30-Systems, 88-20 building, in North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st shift. Cell 30 Systems team is comprised of both A-Deck, B-Deck, Feederline and Test. A-Deck install: Ducts, Blankets, CRNs, and Cradles. B-Deck install: Stansion, ECS, NGS, Mixer Bay, RAT. Feederline Test for systems installation. This position is expected to be 100% onsite and requires the selected candidate to be a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 to meet export control compliance requirements.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience with operations process involving the 787 Airplane Program.
- 1+ years of experience in a leadership role.
- 1+ years of systems experience.
- 1+ years of experience in Velocity and REDARS and navigating engineering documents.
- 1+ years of experience using Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities
- Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.
- Build effective resource plans.
- Identifies and communicates risks to the First Line Leader.
- Updates and communicates BPS metrics.
- Identifies KPI improvement actions.
- Assigns daily work.
- Leads team in daily safety check-in.
- Monitors and reports daily progress to plan.
- Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk.
- Documents and communications shift turnover.
- Establishes overtime requirements and staffing.
- Monitor and control of 5S.
- Utilizes Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinates with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues.
- Create standardized work instructions.
- Support teammates to improve their job performance, including identifying training.
- Responsible for BPS process improvements, will lead Kamishibai audits and Gemba walks.
