About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a Team Lead Assembler to join the Electrical Team working in North Charleston on 2nd shift! This role performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools. The Team Lead Assembler will also build effective resource plans, identify and communicate risks, update and communicate BPS metrics, identify KPI improvement actions, assign daily work, lead daily safety check-ins, monitor and report daily progress to plan, and work with support organizations and the First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk. Additionally, this role documents and communicates shift turnover, establishes overtime requirements and staffing, monitors and controls 5S, utilizes Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinates with the Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues, creates standardized work instructions, and supports teammates to improve their job performance, including identifying training. The Team Lead Assembler is responsible for BPS process improvements, will lead Kamishibai audits and Gemba walks, and must exhibit Boeing Behaviors and maintain all necessary certifications.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work 2nd shift.
  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or fabrication
  • 3+ of experience working with blueprints, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures.
  • 1+ year of formal or informal leadership experience
  • 1+ years of experience with aircraft production systems.
  • 1+ years of experience with Velocity and additional 787 production applications
