About The Position

The Team Lead will support people with disabilities within the consumer's own home, both by example and as outlined in each individual's Person-Centered Plan. This role creates a positive and supportive teamwork atmosphere within the site, where all members contribute and are valued. The Team Lead provides leadership to the team and to individual staff, offering support and direction. This position leads and promotes the smooth operation of the consumer's home, ensuring a safe environment and addressing staff-related issues. The Team Lead identifies opportunities for improvement and actively participates in their implementation, meeting or exceeding program quality standards. This role also coordinates and communicates with the support team to maintain, promote, and monitor individuals' health and wellness, supporting culturally competent recovery-based practices and person-centered planning as a shared decision-making process.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / G.E.D or equivalent
  • Valid and unrestricted State of Michigan Driver's License with a good driving record
  • Must have reliable and ongoing transportation.
  • Must successfully complete all required background clearances.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check including fingerprinting, medical clearance (TB test, drug screen & physical exam), and clearance through Michigan Long-term Care (MILTC) screening
