About The Position

We are looking for fun and engaging hosts to run team building events for corporate groups. This role involves facilitating activities such as guacamole making competitions, leading scavenger hunts, and engaging groups in trivia events. teambuilding.com, formerly Museum Hack, has hosted over 45,000 teams and 1,000,000 participants, earning numerous accolades and positive reviews. Our mission is to build happier teams, and our hosts are central to achieving this by delivering high-quality, engaging, and fun team building experiences.

Requirements

  • Age 21+.
  • Reliable transportation for self-reporting to events in and around the San Francisco Bay area.
  • Flexible weekday availability (events typically run between 10 am - 7 pm, with occasional variations).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Extremely dependable self-starter.
  • Comfortable being in and sharing the spotlight.
  • Able to learn and memorize content, and deliver it naturally.
  • Ability to think on your feet, improvise, and creatively problem-solve in front of guests.
  • Willingness to attend and successfully pass training, including skills demos.
  • Ability to stand for 2-4 hours.
  • Ability to manage supplies of up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to utilize company communication platforms (texts, email, Slack).

Nice To Haves

  • Performance background in theater, improv, stand-up comedy, MC-ing, or tour guiding.
  • Very comfortable and familiar with breaking the 4th wall/crowd work.
  • Very comfortable memorizing content and making it your own.
  • Experience in customer-facing service positions (serving tables, retail, front of house, etc.).
  • Creative writing experience (playwriting, sketch comedy, marketing copyright, blogging, novelist) in addition to performance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Hosting and co-hosting teambuilding.com Originals events in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • Ordering supplies for events.
  • Self-reporting to various venues.
  • Learning event material on a sometimes quick timeline.
  • Adapting to unexpected situations during events.
  • Connecting with clients before events (pre-event calls or text).
  • Delivering engaging and positive experiences during events.
  • As a Cohost: splitting supply load, keeping score, running tech elements, DJing, taking pictures, and assisting with clean up.
  • As a Lead Host: running the show and connecting with the client.
  • If solo-hosting: performing all duties of both Lead Host and Cohost.
