About The Position

Astronics AES is seeking a Team Assembler on 2nd shift in Redmond, WA. This role will be working onsite Mon - Thurs 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. The Team Assembler will develop experience and skills on a single piece flow line.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrates competency (typically 1-2 years of direct experience in the essential functions of the position)
  • Comprehension – Understand and apply information conveyed in written and oral methods
  • Communication – Communicate information and ideas, written and verbal, so others will understand
  • Problem Sensitivity — Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem and notifying appropriate people.
  • Customer service – Understand and quickly respond to customer needs
  • Near Vision — See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
  • Selective Attention — The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
  • Visual Color Discrimination – Match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness
  • Finger Dexterity — Make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed, with totes, etc.
  • Employment is contingent upon the employee's authorization to access items subject to U.S. export-control laws.

  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools, including torque drivers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic electronic, electromechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies, or subassemblies.
  • Perform repetitive duties in a single piece flow mixed model cell.
  • Follows methods and sequence of operations in performing component installation and fitting on assembly units, seeking guidance of Sr. Team Assembler or Lead as needed.
  • Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to work instructions.
  • May work on other cells to perform basic assembly tasks as needed.
  • Perform basic functional tests such as Hi-pot and continuity tests.
  • Other duties as assigned
