About The Position

The Team and Family Advocate is responsible for providing support and advocacy for students and their families within the school community. This role aims to foster strong partnerships between home and school, ensuring that students have the necessary support to succeed academically and socially. The advocate will work collaboratively with school staff, community resources, and families to address barriers to student success and promote a positive school environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of the three (3) year work history in the "Experience and Credentials" section of the application, including periods of unemployment, schooling, and volunteer work.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and advocacy to students and their families.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between families, school staff, and community agencies.
• Identify and address barriers to student attendance, engagement, and academic success.
• Connect families with appropriate community resources and services.
• Develop and implement strategies to strengthen family engagement in school activities.
• Maintain confidential records and documentation.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
