About The Position

The Team and Family Advocate is responsible for providing support and advocacy for students and their families within the school community. This role aims to strengthen the connection between home and school, ensuring that students have the necessary support to succeed academically and socially. The advocate will work collaboratively with school staff, families, and community resources to address barriers to student success and promote a positive school environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Experience working with families and/or in a school setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations.
Knowledge of community resources and social services.
Proficiency in record-keeping and documentation.

Nice To Haves

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish).

Responsibilities

Provide direct support and advocacy to students and their families.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between families and school personnel.
Identify and connect families with community resources and services.
Develop and implement strategies to address barriers to student attendance and academic success.
