About The Position

Join a team of providers making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children. Provide behavioral treatment and SEL instruction for children with emotional, behavioral, and/or developmental disabilities. The INCLUSION Program offers intensive, individualized support to children aged 5-14 (grades K-8) with significant emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges. Services are provided in local public schools and at our center-based tutorial program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • VT Teaching License or License eligible
  • 2 years of a combination of skills, experience and/or education in supporting youth in an education setting
  • Experience with children with emotional and/or behavioral disabilities
  • Valid driver’s License, acceptable driving record and use of a personal vehicle

Responsibilities

  • Implement academic and environmental accommodations
  • Curriculum development, daily planning for academic instruction
  • Use behavior techniques, like modeling appropriate interaction, to maintain and shape behavior
  • Crisis Intervention to ensure safety of students and others
  • Professional Relationships/Documentation
  • Individual instruction
  • Teach social and adaptive skills, including problem solving and conflict resolution
  • Develop collaborative working relationships with school personnel
  • Assess/record/analyze academic skill level and ongoing curriculum necessary to promote skill development
  • Completes data collection as required
  • Participate in Treatment Team meetings
  • Participate in training and workshops to further professional development
  • Participate in weekly supervision
