About The Position

Supported by the Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum, policy, and supporting documents, this course provides an in-depth examination of Kindergarten programs, focusing on developing knowledge, skills, and understandings for creating effective teaching and learning environments in the early years. Specific topics related to Kindergarten include play-based learning, developmentally appropriate practices, authentic assessment and communication strategies, emotional, physical and social well-being, literacy and mathematics skills, problem-solving and innovation. The successful candidate will work with the course lead and/or team in order to provide consistency across sections.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Education
  • Bachelor of Education and/or K – 10 Teaching Certification
  • Ontario teaching experience in Kindergarten
  • Education as a discipline
  • Kindergarten as an area of specialization
  • CV
