About The Position
The School of Public Health is seeking a Teaching Assistant for PUBH 810 – Environmental Health for the 2026 Fall Session. This position requires approximately 10 hours per week and will involve evaluating student work, moderating discussions, participating in course material segments, setting up student meetings, and corresponding with students. The role reports directly to Dr. Claudia Madampage.
Requirements
- Experience in Environmental Health is an asset (practical or as a student)
- Demonstrated ability to mentor students seeking advice
Responsibilities
- Evaluate student papers, presentations, reports etc.
- Mentor and moderate discussion boards associated with lecture material
- Participate in pre recorded segments of course material (online)
- Set up weekly student meetings
- Correspond with students regarding course related questions
