The Brooklyn Public Library Adult Learning Program seeks a Teaching Assistant to assist WIOA program participants earn their HSE diploma through one of the four pathways (GED, Regents, NEDP, or prep classes). In addition, co-facilitate small group instruction in a mixed-level classroom and provide consistent and responsive feedback and support to classroom instructors at one of BPL’s Adult Learning Centers and/or satellite branches. They will be responsible for coaching students and working collaboratively with instructional staff to meet their needs. The Teaching Assistant, under the guidance of the HSE Program Specialist, monitors and supports the participant’s progress and works collaboratively with instructional staff to ensure program quality and goals are being met. This is a grant funded opportunity, funded through June 30, 2027. Contracts are potentially renewed annually based on performance. This is a part-time position. The salary for this position is $25 per hour, for up to a 19-hour workweek.
