About The Position

This role involves providing compassionate and kind direct care to meet the physical and emotional needs of every child, fostering a safe and nurturing environment. The Teaching Assistant will collaborate with teaching team members on lesson planning and implementation to deliver engaging activities that successfully advance each child's developmental milestones. Additionally, the role requires partnering with parents through consistent, daily communication to build a unified and supportive educational foundation that ensures the child's holistic growth. A commitment to continuous professional growth is expected, including attending required monthly evening staff meetings and completing a minimum of 15 hours of yearly in-service training.

Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience.
  • Based on Wisconsin Administrative Code Regulations, one or more of the following is required: 1) At least 18 years old and have satisfactorily completed one course for credit in early childhood education or its equivalent at an institution of higher education within 6 months after assuming the position, or; 2) At least 18 years old and have satisfactorily completed one, non-credit department-approved course in early childhood education within 6 months after assuming the position, or; 3) Have satisfactorily completed an assistant child care teacher training program approved by the Wisconsin department of public instruction.
  • OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
