About The Position

This is a part-time (maximum of 24 hours per week) Teaching Assistant position for the College of Business at Oregon State University (OSU). The role involves supporting Professor David Baldridge for the Fall 2024 course BA 550 MBA Leadership and Teamwork in Organizations. Responsibilities include reviewing and maintaining the Canvas course site, tracking assignment completion and discussion board participation, and attending periodic meetings with the instructor. The position offers opportunities for transferable skill development in Communication, Critical Thinking, and Professionalism, as defined by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).

Requirements

Academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
Meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
Meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard (High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program; Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term; Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term; Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term; Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term)
Graduate student, junior or senior standing
Experience using Canvas
Experience using Excel
Successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq.

Responsibilities

Reviewing Canvas course sites
Ongoing Canvas work to help track assignment completion and discussion board participation
