About The Position

This position is available only to enrolled American University students. Most student positions at American University are eligible to use Federal Work Study (FWS) awards, with a few exceptions. FWS funds cannot be applied to janitorial, construction, partisan or sectarian positions. In this position, you will work closely with a professor to contribute to teaching activities. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background, some knowledge of financial markets and institutions, and coding skills.

Requirements

• Good academic standing with a strong GPA
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of course materials, including lecture notes, assignments, and exams.
• Conduct tutorials, workshops, or lab sessions to support student learning.
• Provide guidance and support to students on course-related inquiries.
• Evaluate and grade assignments, exams, and other assessments.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their understanding and performance.
• Maintain accurate records of student grades and attendance.
