About The Position

A Teaching Assistant is a Graduate Student employed to assist a Course Supervisor. This role involves assisting the Professor in preparing, grading, and reviewing homework sets, assignments, quizzes, and exams. The Teaching Assistant will also prepare, conduct, and lead tutorials, read course materials, and communicate with students regarding MyCourses.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Biology, Bioengineering, or closely-related field.
  • Currently registered as a graduate student at McGill University.
  • 1 year of college calculus, chemistry, and physics.
  • BIOL 112 or similar, BIOL/BIEN219 or similar, MATH 222 or similar.
  • Authorized to work in Canada.
  • Willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located.
  • English communication both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference given to candidates that have previously completed BIOL/BIEN219.

Responsibilities
