About The Position

Liberty POST is seeking a motivated and energetic Early Childhood Teaching Assistant (TA) for part-time and/or full-time employment to work with children aged birth to 5 years old through Early Intervention and Preschool Special Education programs. Immediate positions are available in Rochester. Liberty POST has provided high-quality, individualized services since 1994, backed by Liberty Resources Inc. As part of a large social services network, POST has grown from a speech-language practice in Syracuse, NY, to offer services throughout New York State and New Jersey. We employ over 500 professionals and utilize a collaborative team approach for evaluation, direct therapy, and family education through child-directed play, focusing on natural learning environments, family strengths, and the diverse population served.

Requirements

• Current New York State Licensure and/or Certifications.
• Tier III Teachers Assistant Certification
• Knowledge of MS Word and comfortable with working with computer systems
• Valid Driver’s License
• Early Childhood Experience
• Great interpersonal and communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Early Childhood Education (B-2) Certification preferred.
• Students with disabilities (B-2) Certification preferred.
• CPR and First Aid Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, monitor and track child’s progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Record information on the initial evaluation, treatment, and progress in a timely manner using Electronic Medical Record system.
• Proficient at writing detailed analysis and reports.
• Effectively organize and maintain confidentiality of child’s records and other documentations.
• Follow all state laws and regulations as it pertains to Early Intervention, CPSE/CSE special education.
