About The Position

This position is for a Teaching Assistant in Plant Sciences for the PLSC 205 course. The general duties include preparing, delivering, and/or attending lectures; demonstrating, marking, student consulting, invigilating, holding office hours, setting up experiments, supervising field trips, and conferring with the supervisor in charge as required by the assignment. The primary work location is the Agriculture Building, with occasional field or industry visits as required. The course is PLSC 205 (01) Principles and Management of Agricultural Equipment, requiring 25 hours during the academic term. The employment duration is for the 2026-2027 Fall session, from September 1 to December 23, 2026.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic mechanical principles
  • Previous teaching assistant or instructional experience
