About The Position

The Kenneth F. Kahn School of Law at High Point University invites applicants to serve as a Teaching Assistant to Justice Robert Edmunds in the course of Criminal Law 7230-01 and 7230-02. The selected candidates will have the opportunity to assist Justice Edmunds in providing instruction to the first-year students in the course, primarily through hosting periodic review sessions and through meeting one-on-one with students. Candidates should also be prepared to discuss with first-year students the study skills and time management principles that are important for law school success. Candidates must be available to assist with classroom technology at the beginning of each class and have experience with Power Point.

Requirements

  • Completion of the first-year curriculum at the Kahn School of Law
  • Strong academic record in law school and particularly in the Criminal Law course
  • Demonstrated skill in explaining difficult concepts to others
  • Experience with Power Point

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching others, such as serving as a tutor or teaching assistant in another environment
